PROFESSIONAL TIMELINE
Since 1994 Alexandre has given contributions from both technical and managerial aspects to the following enterprises by applying his specialties that were developed right in the field and guided by leading industry standards used to redesign businesses, deliver organizational results with IT and ultimately innovate!

1994
IT Services for Social Security with nationwide presence

Brazilian Social Security Services (INSS) were by that time taking their first steps by having Mainframes interconnected in Rio, S.Paulo and Brasilia…still at 9.600bps but that is another story!

1994-1995
Energetic Company of S. Paulo State

Despite having Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Energy, CESP also had a very expansive and cutting-edge telecommunication network that served to automate and secure Operations and sustain Energy supply for the entire S.Paulo state.

1995-1997
Oil & Gas Company with national and international presence

Likewise CESP, Petrobras is another case where IT investments were not spared. Offshoring teams in huge ships exploring deep sea oil reserves require a huge specialization in telemetry, analytics and geological data processing that needs to be sustained by a robust telecommunication network with high availability and scalability to respond to business growth.

1997-1998
Deutsche Telekom (GER), France Telecom (FRA) and Sprint (USA) joined forces to provide premium telecommunication services to Global Multinationals with heavy presence in Latin American Market.
Specifically in Brazil, installed and provided the 1st Private Internet Backbone as an alternative to RNP and Embratel. Startups were not named liked this in 1997, but this is really what this company was: a heavilly funded startup formed by three huge telecom players. I dare to say it was the most exciting time because we were pioneering internet in Brazil ; a market that was underexplored and with huge potential. Good times!!!

1998-2000
Even though MCI had been founded in 1963, it played a vital role during the historical AT&T monopoly break in 1982 by US government. In Brazil, MCI had a controlling interest in Embratel (brazilian state owned incunbent) till 2004.
I had the privilege to be invited to join MCI right before a huge change occurs in order to promote integration of synergies at network level and capabilities these two huge companies had. MCI was by that time the 2nd largest US carrier and Embratel was the biggest asset of Telebras system and the only one with nation wide operation. During that time, massive work was conducted to expand MCI services into Latin America region and I was happy to be part of that.

2000-2006
WorldCom acquired all MCI worldwide assets and became a Global Telecom provider.
During this time massive investments were made globally by Venture Capitalists, Submarine Cable Companies (very nice video here!), Carriers that offered intense environment to learn in the greenfield but also ended up with a huge problem known as Internet Bubble. To make a long story short, WorldCom was on every TV and newspaper on 2002 and not for a good reason as you will probably remember!!

2006-2015
Verizon acquired 100% of MCI and WorldCom shares becoming the 1st largest internet service provider and 2nd largest mobile service provider worldwide. In that period of my career, I had already transitioned from Engineering, Operations and Project Management functions to a Sales position that allowed me to expand my relationshiops with the market and deepen my business skills.
Regional Manager - PreSales - LATAM & Caribbean
2013-2015
Member of LATAM Management team, reporting to LATAM GVP and AVP of Pre Sales, I was responsible for all Pre Sales activities in Latin America and Caribbean, with a broad portfolio of projects involving Networking, Cloud, Data Center, CDN, Security, Managed Services and supporting Professional Services. Responsible for several cross-functional projects that involved Marketing, Sales, Product to increase profitability, margins and win-rate. Strong coaching, leadership and team building capabilities. Strategic Planning and Sales Forecast Management focused to drive shareholder value. Currently developing with Partner and Channel ecosystems a Go to Market strategy that covers LATAM market. C-level relationships focused on conversations to resolve business problems by applying fit for purpose solutions with selected technologies into different verticals (Healthcare, Manufacturing, Finance, Media & Technology, Retail etc)
