Even though Alexandre had a established career as IT Executive, he started to enhance his academic skills in 2002 while entrenching himself into the management side of the IT industry. He noticed that he could eventually develop a Plan B and also start an academic career that could leverage best of both worlds: academic and business. So he decided to focus his next specialization courses in the fields of : Project Management, IT Strategic Management and Business Management. In his current initiative he is determined to obtain his MsC in Engineering and Innovation Management from UFABC. During 2016 he has also invested efforts to obtain 2 credits in this MsC programs in areas of Innovation Finance with Prof. Alexandre Acácio and Prof. Julio Facó, Theory and Design Practice with Prof. Rovilson Mafalda and Crhistian Baldo.

Alexandre had previously studied innovation during his MBA at UCI - University of California in Irvine, USA and so the opportunity to keep his studies with UFABC is a natural path to his research interests towards a solid academic career that is determined to pursue from now on. Alexandre holds and MBA in Business Management from FGV and UCI concluded in 2010.

He has other specializations courses focused in IT Strategic Management, Project Management from FEI and FCAV/USP respectively acquired some time after his degree in Electronic Engineering back in 2000 at USJT. His academic production includes papers, articles presented in Brazil and USA, lectures and some interviews as can be seen in his CV lattes. His late published article covered eco-innovation and was produced in a partnership with a post-doctoral researcher of UFABC (Engineering and Innovation Program) and Prof. Patricia Cesar (she is also his beloved wife!). Currently his research interests are in PPM - Project Portfolio Management of innovation projects, especially ones connected to Fintechs, theme he will carry on for his MsC thesis. He is also collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of academics and business professionals within CSA - Cloud Security Alliance in order to produce a paper on IOT (Internet of Things) - Observations and Recommendations on Vehicle Security.

Today, Alexandre is a very enthusiastic Consultant and MBA professor in the following themes since 2008 at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas for both presencial and on-line post-graduation courses some of them in conjunction with University of California (UCI).
