In 2013 I was honored to be one of the few Verizon Sales Executives in Latin America to join Verizon President’s Club event held in Europe with presence of our Executive Vice President Mr. John G. Stratton on my right side and our Global President of Enterprise Sales, Mr. Michael Lanman on my left.

  • My speech as Assistant Professor and student ad hoc at University of California at Irvine (UCI) in 2010, during my MBA extension program.

​

  • My recognition plaque received by FGV EBAPE / FGV Online as honored professor due to my dedication to students during their final ceremony in 2011. Accompanied by Prof. Stavros Xanthopoylos,  Vice-Dean FGV-IDE – Executive Educational Unit at FGV, Dean FGV Online – DE Unit of FGV, and Professor of the POM Department at FGV-EAESP.  A short video on this memorable event can also be seen here on this page.

2008

I have started as Assistant Professor in Business Administration post degree courses giving IT Management classes at FGV, POS ADM course.

2010

Successfully concluded my International MBA program provided by FGV and UCI. During this program I had my first contact with themes like innovation, investment portfolios and  entrepreneurship.

2016

Participated as special student  during the 1st two quarters of 2016 enrolled in Inovation Finance  and Design Theory and Practice at UFABC. Hopefully these efforts (and credits) will count after my formal ingress in the MsC program in early 2017.

Born and raised in S.Paulo, Brazil I'm a 40 years old electronic engineer, IT Sales Executive and MBA Professor. I was blessed enough to choose career paths that mutually fulfilled my desires for recognition, my beliefs and ultimately my life's mission. In my journey to improve amplitude and impact of my daily actions to transform our society, I have come to a conclusion that education was the only way to get this to the next level.

Even though my career was built on IT, along these 22 years I have been exposed to different knowledge areas like Public Services (Social Security, Energy, Oil & Gas) and Verticals  like Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Banks, Health & Insurance, Retail (conventional and online), Agribusiness and Media either by maintaining, operatingdesigning or selling IT Services like high performance global infrastructure (data center, networks, cloud computing) allied to consultancy and managed services.

Hello, my name is Alexandre Caramelo Pinto and I do consider myself an enthusiast when it comes to technology, innovation and transforming our society, especially through education. After 22  years of a successful career in IT I decided to invest all my efforts in becoming a full time professor by expanding my academic skills.

Combining professional experience acquired in the market in the areas of Operations, Engineering, Project Management and Sales gave a good perspective about technology trends and the vital need for innovation when it comes to business sustainability and capability to adapt and compete in the global market.
